NewsLesley Harrison Longlisted for the Highland Book Prize Friday, 26 Jan 2024 ![]() The prize, which is in its seventh year, celebrates literature that comes from the rich landscape and culture of the Scottish Highlands and Islands, including authors who live or were born in the Highlands, and books that are centred around the Highlands. There are twelve books on the longlist, comprising non-fiction, literary fiction, poetry and commissioned works. They were selected by a team of volunteers, in conjunction with the judging panel, Moniack Mhor, and the Highland Society of London. The shortlist will be announced in May 2024, and the winner will be revealed at an awards ceremony in partnership with Nairn Book & Arts Festival on Tuesday 3rd September.
