Quote of the Day
Carcanet has always been the place to look for considerations of purely literary and intellectual merit. Its list relies on the vision and the faith and the energy of people who care about books, and values. It is thus as rare as it is invaluable.

Shopping Guide

Card accepted All Carcanet titles in stock can be purchased at www.carcanet.co.uk. Order online and receive a 10% discount, free UK postage & packaging and, for most new releases, receive your books weeks before they arrive in the shops.

Forthcoming titles can be ordered 60 days in advance of their publication date to ensure that your copy is despatched immediately upon publication (just click the pre-order button). Payment will be taken at the point of order.

We accept VISA, MasterCard, Switch or Solo credit or debit card.
Add to basket Click the add to basket button on any stocked book page to order it.
You can add as many books as you like to your shopping basket; the system will 'remember' your basket regardless of how long you take, even if you leave the site and return later. This process does require your browser to have cookies enabled (the usual default). At any stage of the process (including at the checkout) you are able to view your basket, change the quantity of books, or delete a previous selection.

When you have finished browsing, you can 'checkout' your basket by clicking on the appropriate link on the purchase page. The checkout process is simple and secure; all payment details are encrypted to protect sensitive information. Please click here to read our privacy statement in full.

Books in stock are normally despatched the next working day and delivered within five working days. We can offer faster delivery at extra cost; please contact Carcanet on 0161 834 8730 if your order is urgent. Shipping costs are calculated on the number of books in your order and your location.
