Quote of the Day
Devotedly, unostentatiously, Carcanet has evolved into a poetry publisher whose independence of mind and largeness of heart have made everyone who cares about literature feel increasingly admiring and grateful.

An Evening with Victoria Kennefick

Wednesday 13 Dec 2023, 19:30 to 21:00
Location:

Online Event

Description:

Join Victoria Kennefick at 'Go to the poets, they will speak to thee', an online reading series curated and hosted by Kim Moore!

Victoria's debut collection Eat or We Both Starve (2021) won the Seamus Heaney First Collection Poetry Prize. The collection is a powerful and evocative exploration of the many different types of hunger - whether this is physical, spiritual or emotional.

Each event is part reading, part open mic, with a different open mic theme each month - the theme for December's event is 'food'. Open mic slots are limited and must be booked in advance - find out more and book your slot here.

The online event is held over Zoom on 13th December, 7.30 - 9pm. Tickets are £5 but there are a limited number of free tickets available for those experiencing financial hardship. Book your tickets here.
