Quote of the Day
Devotedly, unostentatiously, Carcanet has evolved into a poetry publisher whose independence of mind and largeness of heart have made everyone who cares about literature feel increasingly admiring and grateful.

Jane Draycott & David Morley: Arvon Poetry Retreat

09:00 on Monday 20 May 2019 to 17:00 on Saturday 25 May 2019
Location:

Arvon Centre
Heptonstall
Hebden Bridge
West Yorkshire
HX7 6DF

Description:

David Morley, Jane Draycott and Penelope Shuttle will tutor on an Arvon Poetry Retreat this May.

This tutored retreat will give you a chance to reflect on your own work and process as a poet. There'll be time to be alone with your poems and space to be inspired by walking, running, or simply sitting, looking and listening. We'll create an encouraging atmosphere where you can focus on your poetry, while building your confidence to step back and see the bigger picture. Participants are invited to submit up to five poems to lumbbank@arvon.org by 20 April 2019. Tutors will look at this work, as well as work-in-progress created during the week's tutorials.

For more information, please see the Arvon website.
