Carcanet Press
Quote of the Day
British publishing always needs the supplement of such enterprises as Carcanet -- beautifully independent, skilfully managed, and by people with exceptional literary taste. It gives one heart that there are such people and such a press, and that they are too resourceful to succumb to the climate.
Sir Frank Kermode

Opportunities at Carcanet

 Freelancers:

Carcanet uses a very small pool of freelance editors and proofreaders. Freelances who would like to work for the press are welcome to send their CV with a covering letter to info@carcanet.co.uk, but are strongly advised to study the website first to familiarise themselves with the kinds of books Carcanet publishes. Only appropriately trained and experienced freelances will be considered. If we think that we may be able to offer you work in the future, we will acknowledge your letter and keep your CV on file.
Work Experience:

Carcanet occasionally offers short work experience placements in the Sales & Marketing department. To apply, please email a CV and a brief covering letter stating when you are available to info@carcanet.co.uk.
