Opportunities at Carcanet

Editorial and Production Manager

A rare full-time vacancy has arisen at the Manchester offices of Carcanet Press, one of the UK's outstanding, Arts Council supported independent literary publishers, for an experienced manager to undertake editorial and production responsibility for our full range of books and e-books.

The deadline for applications will be 10 November before 14:00 hrs. Interviews to be held 21 November in Manchester.


 Freelancers:

Carcanet uses a very small pool of freelance editors and proofreaders. Freelances who would like to work for the press are welcome to send their CV with a covering letter to info@carcanet.co.uk, but are strongly advised to study the website first to familiarise themselves with the kinds of books Carcanet publishes. Only appropriately trained and experienced freelances will be considered. If we think that we may be able to offer you work in the future, we will acknowledge your letter and keep your CV on file.
Work Experience:

Carcanet occasionally offers short work experience placements in the Sales & Marketing department. To apply, please email a CV and a brief covering letter stating when you are available to info@carcanet.co.uk.

Please note that we cannot offer editorial work experience.
