A View from the Bedroom Window#Peter Bland
for Beryl

Morning star, whispers of mist: this
is a love poem. You're entering the garden
at dawn, on your own, so small. We live
in the thumbprint of God. What
made me say that? Lets take this
a sound at a time...
there's a lone blackbird, some insects scrapig,
and a breeze so delicate no one could tell
whether it warmed or chilled. But it brings
the day with it, letting light in,
so that you're there, among known paths,
suddenly looking up and waving.
