Dancing Words Film Premiere

Description:

Dancing Words produces films that allow poetry to find movement and breath by creating collaborations between poets, musicians, dancers and film makers.

This special event features the world premiere of two films:

'Small Boned Daughter' by Forward Prize winner Mona Arshi, interpreted by dancer/choreographer Ella Mesma and composer Tom Szirtes

'Tamed' by Sarah Howe, winner of the T.S Eliot prize, interpreted by Shelley Maxwell

as well as screenings of Kayo Chingonyi's 'Kumukanda' with dancer/choreographer Sean Graham, Karen McCarthy Woolf's 'Morbleu' with dancer/choreographer Ella Mesma and Malika Booker's 'Sweet Liquor' with dancer/choreographer Leon Rose

followed by Q&A with poets Mona Arshi, Karen McCarthy Woolf, Kayo Chingonyi; dancer/choreographer Shelley Maxwell, filmmaker Fiona Melville, composer Tom Szirtes and Director and founder of Dancing Words, Dr Nathalie Teitler.

The event will be presented by Jill Abram, who recommends arriving early to guarantee admission
