In Later On F.T. Prince brings together three contrasting long poems written since 1980: ‘The Yüan Chên Variations’, which are inspired by the Chinese T’ang Dynasty poet Po Chü-i, ‘His Dog and Pilgrim’, an account of the legend of St Rock told from his dog’s point of view, and ‘A Byron-Shelley Conversation’.

F.T. Prince was born in Kimberley, South Africa, in 1912 and educated at the Christian Brothers’ College in Kimberley, at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and at Balliol College, Oxford.
