This booklet contains early poems, mostly written in 1968, by the brilliant editor of Carcanet Press and PN Review. Born in Mexico in 1947, he studied at Harvard and at Wadham College, Oxford. He has published several critical books and collections of poems, of which the most recent is The Resurrection of the Body (Smith/Doorstop, 2007).
