PATRICK MACKIE was born in London in 1974. He was brought up in Oman and England, educated at Winchester College and the universities of Oxford and Manchester. During the year 1998/99 he was a Visiting Fellow at Harvard University and has been writing a book about T.S. Eliot. His work first appeared in New Poetries II (Carcanet, 1999).
