  • Kate Clanchy was born in Glasgow in 1965 and was educated at Exeter College, Oxford. She lives in London and works as a teacher and freelance journalist. Her short story Boom was awarded a prize in the 1993 London Arts Board competition. Her poem Men was specially commended in the 1994 Arvon International Poetry Competition. She receivged an Eric Gregory Award in 1994.
