  • About
  • Luis de Góngora was born in 1561 in Córdoba. He made his reputation with two major works, the Fábula de Polifemo y Galatea and the Soledades. He was forced to move in search of patronage to Madrid, where his finances and health worsened. He suffered a stroke in 1626 and died a year later in Córdoba.
