Quote of the Day
Carcanet has always been the place to look for considerations of purely literary and intellectual merit. Its list relies on the vision and the faith and the energy of people who care about books, and values. It is thus as rare as it is invaluable.

Contains Strong Language/Verve Small Poetry Press Book Fair

Sunday 11 Sep 2022, 11:00 to 16:00

Birmingham Hippodrome (PWC Room)
Hurst Street
B5 4TB

We've put all of your favourite UK indie poetry presses, AND hidden gems from the commonwealth, into one excellent bookfair. You're welcome.

What better for a poetry festival on a Commonwealth theme than an indie poetry press bookfair featuring new-to-the-UK poetry from the Commonwealth? Curated in partnership with Birmingham 2022, we welcome a selection of some of the best UK Indie Poetry Presses to Brum: Arc Publications, Bad Betty Press, Broken Sleep Books, Carcanet, Peepal Tree, Penned in the Margins, Poetry Business, Seren, VERVE Poetry Press & Wrecking Ball Press.

PLUS we will have a large table of books from Indie presses from across the Commonwealth, featuring the cream of Commonwealth poetry not available anywhere else in the UK. Find us in the PWC room. This will be an Indie press booklover's paradise.

Free registration here.
