Carola Luther & Nafeesa Hamid: Kendal Poetry Festival

Sunday 26 Jun 2022, 11:00 to 13:00

Brewery Arts Centre
122A Highgate

Carola Luther was a popular Poet-in-Residence at Wordsworth Grasmere, and she makes a welcome return to Cumbria to read from her stunning third collection On the Way to Jerusalem Farm (Carcanet, 2021). Nafeesa Hamid's debut collection Besharam (Verve, 2018) is an extraordinary and evocative book that explores our preconceptions of girlhood and motherhood - 'a necessary and potent meditation on the meaning of Womanhood' (Joelle Taylor).

This is a hybrid event.
