Richard Price: StAnza Festival

Sunday 13 Mar 2022, 16:00 to 17:00

The Byre Theatre - Studio Theatre
Abbey Street
St Andrews
KY16 9LA

This afternoon's event features Scottish poet Richard Price in conversation with Canadian Poet Laureate Louise Halfe-Sky Dancer, with readings from their work, in a trans-Atlantic exploration of indigenous North American tales. Louise will read from her newest book, awâsis - kinky and dishevelled; she will speak about bringing a character from the enduring stories of her culture into her own voice/vision, and about Indigenous storytelling as a form of resistance, resurgence, and resilience. Richard's most recent collection, The Owner of the Sea, is a re-telling of traditional Inuit stories, comprising story cycles that abound in natural wonder, celebrating our creaturely relations with our fellow inhabitants of land and sea.

This ticket is for the live event in St Andrews.

Tickets are £8 / £6 / £4 - find out more and buy them here.
