Vahni Capildeo: StAnza Festival

Thursday 10 Mar 2022, 16:00 to 17:00

In the second of today's modernist themed Past and Present events, two Scottish / Scotland-based poets will explore the influence of arguably the two most important figures of modernism. In the first of two talks responding to The Waste Land, Vahni Capildeo provides their own perspective on the poem's influence and importance, and how its relevance has shifted over time. Robert Crawford takes on the challenging legacy of Ezra Pound's personal, political and poetic influence on the poetry of today.

Hear more about The Waste Land at our Past & Present with Paul Muldoon on Saturday 12 March.
