Togara Muzanenhamo: StAnza Festival

Tuesday 8 Mar 2022, 13:00 to 01:30

Next stop on our Round-the-World tour are two poets from Saharan and sub-Saharan Africa. Prize-winning poet and novelist Nassima Raoui, who will undoubtedly be an unfamiliar name to many at StAnza, joins us from Morocco, sharing every poem she has ever had translated into English! Togara Muzanenhamo joins us from the other end of Africa in Zimbabwe, and will read poems from his two Carcanet collections, Virga and Spirit Brides, which travel through different locations connected by relationships between people, and between people and the natural world.

Pre-recorded event, available on the StAnza website and on our YouTube channel.

Tickets are £3, and can be bought here.

See the full lineup of StAnza events here.
