Carline Bird Workshop: The 'I' in Poetry

I am not the "I" in my poems. "I" is the net I try to pull me in with. - Toi Derricotte. Who are you? Who is the speaker of your poems? In this workshop, we'll use the "I" as a disguise, a net, a shield, an illusion, a dare. We'll write from the point of view of a self we don't recognise yet. We'll stumble off through the forest of the page, further and further from ourselves, hoping to meet a new version walking back to us.

£22.50/£16.50 - find out more and buy tickets.
