Quote of the Day
I'm filled with admiration for what you've achieved, and particularly for the hard work and the 'cottage industry' aspect of it.

John Greening: Fen Speak October 2020

Wednesday 21 Oct 2020, 19:00 to 20:30

This month Fen Speak welcomes John Greening as our guest poet. John Greening lives near St Neots. Recipient of the Bridport Prize and a Cholmondeley Award, he has published over twenty collections, large and small, including Heath with Penelope Shuttle (Nine Arches, 2016) and The Silence (Carcanet, 2019). His most recent publications are the pamphlets Europa's Flight (New Walk, 2019) and Moments Musicaux (Salzburg, 2020). He has edited Geoffrey Grigson, Edmund Blunden and Iain Crichton Smith along with many books about poets and poetry. A longstanding reviewer for the TLS (the collected reviews, Vapour Trails, have just appeared from Shoestring), he runs a monthly Poetry School workshop in Cambridge, where he has also been RLF Writing Fellow at Newnham College.

There will also be spoken word open mic slots available on the night.
