Join Thomas McCarthy for a Poetry Hour during which you will hear from Cork, Manchester, Belfast and Galway-based poets. Thomas, our judge for the 2020 Shine Strong Poetry Award, needs no introduction to Mountains to Sea audiences as he treats us to a reading from his newest collection Prophecy.

Newcomers to Mountains to Sea, Manchester-based Rachel Mann's A Kingdom of Love was published in 2019 by Carcanet and Ned Denny's Unearthly Toys: Poems and Masks won the Seamus Heaney Centre Poetry Prize in 2019. Ned's collection has been described by Prof. Nick Laird as 'deeply felt, earnest, and concerned with the large questions of being alive, of loving, of trying to exist in a secular world separated from nature.'
