Quote of the Day
Carcanet has always been the place to look for considerations of purely literary and intellectual merit. Its list relies on the vision and the faith and the energy of people who care about books, and values. It is thus as rare as it is invaluable.

Jane Yeh: National Centre for Writing

Saturday 7 Dec 2019, 10:00 to 15:00
Location:

National Centre for Writing
Dragon Hall
115-123 King Street
Norwich
NR1 1QE

Description:

In this workshop, Jane Yeh, author of Discipline (named by the Guardian as a Book of the Year 2019), will guide you through her approach to crafting resonant, powerful poems. Exploring such elements of craft as voice, structure, and imagery, you'll read a range of contemporary poems before writing your own in class under Jane's expert guidance. There will be an opportunity to experiment with different techniques, and to provide informal, group feedback on a few individual pieces.

A fantastic opportunity to explore creativity and craft in a friendly, constructive setting. Suitable for individuals trying out poetry for the first time, or those who have had some experience writing before.
Tickets and bursary prices available here.
