Description:

We welcome you to join us for a fantastic poetry reading with Helen Tookey and three Nottingham Trent University Creative writing PhD students, Hannah Cooper-Smithson, Lauren Terry and Panya Banjoko who will be reading alongside her.

Helen Tookey's first full-length poetry collection, Missel-Child (Carcanet, 2014) was shortlisted for the Seamus Heaney First Collection Prize in 2015. Her second, City of Departures (Carcanet, 2019) has been shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best Collection 2019. She lives in Liverpool.
