Gillian Clarke is Poet-in-Residence for the Welsh leg of the Places of Poetry tour. Please find out more about this event here

Welsh poet Gillian Clarke will be poet-in-residence at Caernarfon Castle from Wednesday 26th to Friday 28th June.  She will be working with schools and local writing groups exploring the Castle's history through poetry. The Places of Poetry team will have a base on site - and will be on hand to talk about the project and encourage visitors to write their own poem and pin it, not only onto the Castle's poetry wall, but also digitally onto the online map.

Places of Poetry is sponsoring an evening event at the Galeri on Thursday 27th June at 7.30 pm. Gillian Clarke will be reading with poet Paul Farley (a regular on Radio 4). Paul will be introducing the Places of Poetry project and both will be answering questions from the audience -so if intrigued by the poetic life (pen or computer? Office or café?) do come along and meet them at 7.30pm on the 27th. The event is free but tickets will need to be reserved through the Galeri.
