Quote of the Day
Devotedly, unostentatiously, Carcanet has evolved into a poetry publisher whose independence of mind and largeness of heart have made everyone who cares about literature feel increasingly admiring and grateful.

New Poetries VII: The Reunion

Tuesday 18 Jun 2019, 19:00 to 21:00
Location:

LRB Bookshop
14 Bury Place
London
WC1A 2JL

Description:

In April 2018, New Poetries VII was launched at the London Review Bookshop. In the year which followed, the poets have gone from strength to strength, gaining PBS recommendations, plaudits and wild enthusiasm for their debut collections, and, in one case, a Forward Prize. Zohar Atkins, Rowland Bagnall, Isabel Galleymore, Lisa Kelly and Phoebe Power - all of whom have their Carcanet debut collections either released or incoming - will read from their work in this reunion event. Tickets are £10, and can be bought via the LRB Bookshop website.
