Quote of the Day
Carcanet has always been the place to look for considerations of purely literary and intellectual merit. Its list relies on the vision and the faith and the energy of people who care about books, and values. It is thus as rare as it is invaluable.

Location:

Description:

Ken Cockburn, Richard Gwyn and Arne Rautenberg will be reading at this event.

Don't miss our final Border Crossings session of this festival, in which we feature two poets who draw from a wide range of influences. Richard Gwyn is a poet and translator whose most recent collection, Stowaway: A Levantine Adventure, centres around an unnamed protagonist, a kind of anti-Ulysses, and this character's journeys around the eastern Mediterranean. Richard will be reading alongside Arne Rautenberg, an award-winning German poet translated into English by Ken Cockburn. Arne's playful work ranges from concrete poetry to writing for children through to exuberant and experimental sound texts.

Tickets are £4.50/£3.50, and will be on sale in January.
