British-Iranian writer Mimi Khalvati offers a generous feast of lyrical and poignant work in her New and Selected Poems. She is the author of six previous collections including Mirrorwork and The Chine, and is a Visiting Lecturer at Goldsmiths College and a director of the London Poetry School.

South African-born Carola Luther’s first collection Walking the Animals marked the arrival of a startlingly original new voice, and it was shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection in 2004. Her new collection, Arguing with Malarchy, explores unspoken communication between animals and humans.
