Matthew Welton’s poem ‘Springtime’, set by musical composer Larry Goves is now available on CD from London Sinfonietta’s Jerwood Series. This beautifully set piece featuring the haunting voice of Juliet Fraser is one of many of their collaborative works. Matthew Welton and Larry Goves were awarded a Jerwood Opera Writing Fellowship in 2008. The Jerwood CD compilations celebrate the vital role of London Sinfonietta in nurturing and developing new music for the past 40 years.  The CD is now available for pre-order from NMC Records in advance of its release on 7 September from London Sinfonietta's website.
