Three Carcanet poets on the Saltire Society Literary Awards shortlist!

No Text We are delighted to announce that David Kinloch's In Search of Dustie-Fute, Richard Price's Moon for Sale and Thomas A. Clark's Farm by the Shore have all been shortlisted for the Saltire Society Poetry Book of the Year Award!

The shortlists for the seven awards that make up the 2017 Saltire Literary Awards were officially announced last night at an event hosted at the Edinburgh West End branch of Waterstones, and featured readings from last year’s winner of the Scottish Book of the Year Award, Kathleen Jamie.

Widely recognised as Scotland’s most prestigious book awards, the Saltire Literary Awards represent a long-standing commitment from the Saltire Society to celebrate and support Scottish literary achievement and are run entirely on the basis of the commitment of the experts who make up the judging panels.

The winner of each book Award will receive a cash prize of £2,000 and go on to be considered for the top prize of £5,000, awarded to the Saltire Society Book of the Year. The winner will be announced on 30th November at Central Halls, Edinburgh.

Congrats David, Richard and Thomas!
