  • The poetry of Molly Holden (1927 - 1981) has commanded a devoted following. She takes her bearing from the work of Hardy, whose poems she started reading when she was ten, just as she began to write. She has her landscapes, her own sources of joy and bitterness. Her later years were spent in a wheelchair as a result of multiple sclerosis.
