Geoffrey Brock

  • Geoffrey Brock was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1964 and grew up in Tallahassee, Florida. He is the translator of Cesare Pavese's Disaffections: Complete Poems 1930-1950 (2004) and the author of Weighing Light: Poems (2005). He has also translated books by Roberto Calasso, Umberto Eco, and others, and he has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation. He teaches creative writing and translation at the University of Arkansas, in the Ozarks.
