  • Frances Bingham has written short stories and poems which have been published in magazines and anthologies including I, I(both Diva Books) and I (The Women’s Press). She has written many literary articles, including the centenary celebration of Valentine Ackland in the Guardian Review, and contributed to Critical Essays on Sylvia Townsend Warner (Edwin Mellen Press). Frances Bingham has performed her work at poetry festivals and women’s writing events such as SpitLit. Her long poem 'Mothertongue' was published as a limited edition artist’s book with images by the artist Liz Mathews, with whom she lives in north London.

    Valentine Ackland collaborated with her lover and close associate, Sylvia Townsend Warner, in the substantial anonymous verse venture, Whether a Dove or a Seagull (1934). read more
